| 032. Temptation (Sylvie Fawcett and Oliver Wood) |
[Mar. 28th, 2009|08:09 pm] |
He plays the fool. He pretends to never notice. He knows he needs to keep his priorities in order. Oliver Wood doesn't notice women. That's what everything thinks. That is okay with him.
There is a one woman, though. One woman who, try as he might, he always notices. Whether it's her long hair or her bright eyes; Oliver Wood notices Sylvie Fawcett. In passing, in brief conversations, he notices.
Too easily is he drawn from his responsibilities when he sees her. Too easily does he forget the play he's working on and it goes unfinished.
He makes no public gestures to her. He greets her with a simple smile. Anymore and he's not sure where it would lead them. He's been down that road before with her. She's like the quaffle he can't block, the snitch that can't be caught.
She's the temptation that no matter how hard he tries, he will give in to. |
